So, You Say You Wanna Swap?
Here I am talking about The Shabby Chic Cottage again.
I wanted to show off my goodies that I got during her
Spring Supply Swap.
Because we have similar tastes,
I got to trade supplies with none other than Gina herself.
Woot!
Here's what came in the box:

Woot!
Here's what came in the box:
2 pairs of her wainscoting heart ornaments
ric rac
ribbon
2 plate hangers
3 wooden spools
muslin
seashells
2 5x7 frames
2 skeleton keys
2 wooden plaques
a set of 4 french script candles (sold in her etsy shop)
a set of her french script clothespins (sold in her etsy shop)
some cream & tan fabric
and get this-
we ended up swapping a piece of the same fabric with each other!
The exact same fabric!
What are the chances?
I never took a picture of what I sent her.
I'm a loser, I know.
But it was great stuff.
This was so fun.
Thanks, Gina.

A Nest For My Needles
Ok, so I had this tomato pin cushion thing that came with my sewing kit.
The same kind that my grandmother used
and I played with as a kid.
Then....I saw the cutest idea at
The Shabby Chic Cottage.
Gina made a sweet pin cushion using a votive holder.
Ah, inspiration!
I had some supplies including a little nest that I thought would work perfectly.
So, I got to stitchin'
(don't look closely at that part
'cause the underside ain't pretty).
Some help from Glouise
and voila!

"Lil Skinny"
I don't know what it is about this little skinny duck, but I just love him.
He's super tall and thin and cracks me up when he runs.
He's super tall and thin and cracks me up when he runs.
He lives at a pond near our house with his duck friends,
and I have to fight the urge to grab him, hold him tight and stuff him in my truck.
Needless to say, he gets most of the bread that we bring to the pond.

The Notebook
This is the story of a love affair....
between a covered notebook and I.
It had been a desire of mine for a long time
and the other day, I went for it
and purchased this!
Ain't she purdy?
Don't be jealous.
You can get one, too.
And although they sell out really quick,
if you keep your eyes peeled, you can snatch one up.
Thanks to Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy
for setting us up.
It's a match made in Heaven.
(Well, just California...but you know what I mean).

Goodbye, Little Bus
Sold this over the weekend.
I'm still not really a minivan person,
but I have to admit there was a special love for my Odyssey.
but I have to admit there was a special love for my Odyssey.
Separating our boys with that third row of seats kind of love.
We're still searching for something to replace my ride.
We don't do car payments here at our nest,
so this may take a little while.
(Good thing hubby loves the hunt).
In the meantime,
tell me,
what do you drive?

...And They're Off!
Between cleaning up poop and doing mounds of laundry,
I finally finished everyone's Mother's Day surprises.
Now, it is time for this mother to relax.
(Anyone who wants to help me carry these into the post office tomorrow
will be my new best buddy.)
