Years ago, my mom gave me this old skinny door
complete with chippy paint.
It leaned against the wall in my studio for a long time.
One day, I realized that it would make the cutest console table.
We had another table that we weren't using at the time, so sweetums did some surgery
and removed his legs (not his own, the table's) and attached them to the door.
Voila!
Our boys LOVE to play with their toys on this table
and mommy never has to worry about the finish.
Speaking of boys,
I recently painted this table and have been looking for the perfect drawer pull for it.
I think the search is over.
One of my guys shoved a rubber tube into the holes in the drawer
and clipped his Playmobil surfer to it.

Love what you did with the old door. We sold a piece of property last year with an old farm house on it. We knew it would be torn down, so I asked if I could take some things from it and they said yes. One thing I took was the doors. They have so much character. We have been thinking of making tables out of them or benches for our deck.
